YEARBOOKS AND SENIOR ADS: On sale. This is the last time senior ads will be available. Ads are available until the end of December online or at the finance office.
SENIORS: Please go take your free senior portrait at Boyd Anderson photography. You must be photographed by the second week of January in order to be included in the yearbook.
LIVE MUSIC LUNCH: Next Thursday will be Live Music Lunch. There will be bands and musicians throughout the campus playing music and raising funds to help the Santana families in the Philippines. Collection cans will be placed at each stage, so bring those dollars next Thursday, enjoy the tunes, and help those in need.
WINTER CONCERT: The Santana Music Department invites you to its Winter Concert next Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Santana Gym. The performing groups will include the Santana Concert Band, Santana Color Guard, the Santana Concert Choir, and a guest soloist. There will be performances of some holiday standards, and a few numbers to balance the program. Admission is $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for students with an ASB card, and kids 12 and under are free. Come out and support our music department and your fellow Sultans. Happy Holiday's!
PSAT SCORES: Anyone who took the PSAT this year and has not gotten their results should come by the attendance office before school, after school, or at break or lunch to pick them up.
HOLIDAY GRAMS: Holiday Grams are being sold in the large quad during lunch until Wednesday, December 18. Be sure to get that special someone a small gift which will be neatly wrapped with goodies and a personalized message for the holidays. Holiday Grams start out at $1 and will be delivered Thursday morning on December 19.
WORK PERMITS: Attention Students – If you need a work permit, please make sure that you get it turned in by Wednesday, December 18 so you will have it by Friday, December 20. Please plan ahead because we will not be issuing any work permits until school resumes in January.
SULTAN SCHOLARS: The new fine list is posted in the library for you to check out. Remember, this covers not only library fines, but also PE and textbook fines. This will be updated every month, so come by and check it to make sure your account is clear.
HELP FOR THE HOLIDAYS: Mrs. Shaw’s senior English class is accepting donations to benefit Store Front, which is an organization to help at risk and homeless teens, ages 12-17. Please donate clothes, hats, accessories that you don’t need anymore. Watch KSUL News for more information. Bring your donations to room 106 or leave it with you English teacher to be picked up.
ADOPT-A-FAMILY is taking donations from December 9-18. Please donate to SHS families in need.
SANTEE SANTA'S are collected canned food items from December 9-18. $200 goes to the class that gets the most above 200 cans.
TRAVEL CLUB: We are set to go to England, Ireland and Wales in nearly 100 days. If you’re not going, it’s okay because we are already planning Spring Break 2015 trip. We will be going to Costa Rica for 10 days. Zip-lining, horseback riding and a white water rafting tour are all included in this adventurous trip of a lifetime. SPORTS CLUB: Love sports? Join us every Wednesday at lunch for Sports Club. Look for the sign in front of the gym entrance for the weekly sport.
ID CARDS: Student ID Cards from Picture Make-Up Day are available for pick-up in the front office at student lunch only.
PARKING STICKER: If you drive your car to school, you must obtain a parking sticker from Mrs. King. Pick up a green application in her office, fill it out, have your parent sign it, and bring it back to her and she will give you a parking sticker. Campus Supervisors will be issuing citations if there is not a sticker on your vehicle.
PEER SUPPORT: Attention students – Are you in conflict with someone on campus? Do you need to resolve an issue with someone else? Maybe you just need someone to talk to? Have you witnessed others around you drinking, smoking, bullying, and cheating on tests? Peer supporters have been trained to help you through those difficult times and teach you how to step up and stand up for what’s right. Peer supporters can also help you and your friend in conflict resolve your issues and find peace again. If you are in need of any help, stop by the guidance office and fill out a peer supporter referral form. Peer supporters are here to help you everyday.
