They will have free parking, an application and financial aid workshop, and an info fair with campus tours. The event is this Saturday, February 21 from 20:00 am to 2:00 pm. SANTEE VISIONS ART SHOW: The Art Department invites you to the Santee Visions Art Show. The drawing, photography and three dimensional design classes will all have work on display along with West Hills. The show will take place today, February 20th from 7-9:00 pm at Pathways Church in Santee. Stop by and take a look.
THE CLEAN WATER CLUB will now be meeting on Wednesdays. You can join us at lunch next Wednesday, the 25th, in room S-8. Our club’s goal is to help improve our community and our environment and we will be planning some ecology and ocean-related activities. Please join us if that interests you and you are looking for fun way to get involved.
PASTA FOR PENNIES: Hey Sultans – Today is the last day for Pasta for Pennies. Make sure to make your last minute donations because Key Clubbers will be collecting the boxes during 6th period.
GYMNASTICS: Tryouts start on Tuesday. You must be cleared and you must bring proof of clearance with you to the first day of practice. Once spots fill, tryouts will stop. If spots fill in one day, then tryouts will be over. Make sure you make it on Tuesday. If you have questions, see Mrs. Wilkerson-Spenny in the guidance office.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL: Attention boys interested in playing volleyball – Tryouts will be held on Tuesday, February 24 from 4-6:00 pm in the gym. You must bring proof of clearance to participate.
SOFTBALL TRYOUTS: Saturday, February 21 at the softball fields starting at 9:00 a.m. with check-in beginning at 8:30 am. Bring proof of clearance, softball gear and water.
BOYS LACROSSE: The tryout time for boys’ lacrosse has been changed to 5:00 pm on Saturday the 21st on the turf field.
BATTLE OF THE SEXES is just around the corner. March 2nd through March 6th, guys and gals will go head to head in our week long competition. There will be lunchtime games every day and the final competition will end at our Spring Sports Assembly. Get your game faced on, Sultans!

TEXTBOOK AND LIBRARY FINES: Okay Sultan Scholars! Semester I is behind us and with the beginning of Semester II comes the perfect chance to take care of any unfinished business. We have the most recent fine list posted in the library entrance, so come and check it out. If you are cleared, great! If not, why not check that off your to-do list. You’ll have to come in eventually, so why not today? Especially you seniors! Don’t wait until the day prom bids go on sale to clear your accounts. If you have any questions, come see Mrs. Teschler or Mrs. Winslow.
ATTENTION STUDENTS: Peer mediators are here and available for you. This year’s mediators are Brielle Wilkerson, Tara Kyne and Deanna Aguiar. They can help you resolve conflicts between you and someone that you are having a disagreement with. They are also available if you just need another student to talk to. So, if you need help resolving issues between friends, you can grab a request slip in any classroom or in the guidance office.
PEACE COUNCIL: Join Peace Council and make a difference. Meetings are Wednesdays at lunch in room 105.
BOOK CLUB: Hello Sultan Readers! If you enjoy reading and would like to share your love of books with other Sultans, join Santana’s Book Club every Friday at lunch in the library. Bring your lunch and the love of literature.
ZOMBIE CLUB: If you want to survive the zombie apocalypse, come to room S-7 every Wednesday at lunch in Ms. Chandler’s room. Don’t be left for dead. We are all infected!
KEY CLUB: Join Key Club to participate in fun community service activities. We meet Thursdays at lunch in room S2. Also, members that signed up for our Roadside Pride activity should meet at the Jack in the Box on Magnolia by 67 and Gillespie Field.
CLEAN WATER CLUB: This is a reminder to the Clean Water Club and anyone else who would like to check it out that we meet every Wednesday at lunch in room S8
DISNEY CLUB: You’ve got a friend in us. Come join Santana’s very own Disney Club. Have you always wanted to go to Disneyland, but lacked the time or money? Disney Club fundraises to go to Disneyland, so come join and plan for the 2015 Disneyland trip. Fundraising starts soon, so join before it’s too late. They meet Tuesdays at lunch in Mr. Reilly’s room.
