STUDENT BULLETIN:

PASTA FOR PENNIES is still going on!  Bring in all of your donations and help your 3rd period class win an Olive Garden Pasta Party.  Boxes will be checked next Tuesday, February 10 and collected for the last time on the Friday after that.  All proceeds go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  The word on the street is that Mrs. Erpelding’s class is winning.

CONGRATULATIONS to Brielle Wilkerson, dance team captain, and Erin Broderick, dance team officer, for an awesome performance at the NDA Dance Competition in Newport Beach.  They both performed a solo dance and took top awards.  They also performed their Latin inspired duet and took home the showmanship award beating out 7 other teams.  What a dynamic duo!  Coach Sam is so proud of you ladies!

DANCE COMPETITION: Competition is coming up for our dance teams on February 28th at San Pasqual High School.  The JV dance Team will be entering a POM dance and our varsity team will be entering 2 solos, one duet, a jazz dance and a POM dance.  Competition times will be listed on the website.  Come support our dancers!

BOYS TENNIS: Tennis season starts soon and the Purple Tennis Nation is looking for freshman and sophomore men.  Come to the meeting today at lunch to room 704 to get information.  All players, new and old should attend.  Tryouts start February 17th…see you at lunch.

CAP AND GOWNS: Seniors, if you missed yesterday’s Cap & Gown/Announcement Order Day you’ll have to contact the company directly to order.

TEXTBOOK AND LIBRARY FINES: Okay Sultan Scholars!  Semester I is behind us and with the beginning of Semester II comes the perfect chance to take care of any unfinished business.  We have the most recent fine list posted in the library entrance, so come and check it out.  If you are cleared, great!  If not, why not check that off your to-do list.  You’ll have to come in eventually, so why not today?  Especially you seniors!  Don’t wait until the day prom bids go on sale to clear your accounts.  If you have any questions, come see Mrs. Teschler or Mrs. Winslow.

ATTENTION STUDENTS:  Peer mediators are here and available for you.  This year’s mediators are Brielle Wilkerson, Tara Kyne and Deanna Aguiar.  They can help you resolve conflicts between you and someone that you are having a disagreement with.  They are also available if you just need another student to talk to.  So, if you need help resolving issues between friends, you can grab a request slip in any classroom or in the guidance office.

PEACE COUNCIL: Join Peace Council and make a difference.  Meetings are Wednesdays at lunch in room 105.

BOOK CLUB: Hello Sultan Readers!  If you enjoy reading and would like to share your love of books with other Sultans, join Santana’s Book Club every Friday at lunch in the library.  Bring your lunch and the love of literature.

ZOMBIE CLUB: If you want to survive the zombie apocalypse, come to room S-7 every Wednesday at lunch in Ms. Chandler’s room.  Don’t be left for dead.  We are all infected!

KEY CLUB: Join Key Club to participate in fun community service activities.  We meet Thursdays at lunch in room S2.  Also, members that signed up for our Roadside Pride activity should meet at the Jack in the Box on Magnolia by 67 and Gillespie Field.

CLEAN WATER CLUB: This is a reminder to the Clean Water Club and anyone else who would like to check it out that we meet every Friday at lunch in room S8

DISNEY CLUB: You’ve got a friend in us.  Come join Santana’s very own Disney Club.  Have you always wanted to go to Disneyland, but lacked the time or money?  Disney Club fundraises to go to Disneyland, so come join and plan for the 2015 Disneyland trip.  Fundraising starts soon, so join before it’s too late.  They meet Tuesdays at lunch in Mr. Reilly’s room.

SULTAN READERS!  Remember we meet every Friday in the library at lunch to share and discuss our latest reading adventures.  Remember to get to the library ASAP today as we have our guest speaker, Mr. Johnson, joining us to share our mutual love of literature.
