RELAY FOR LIFE SANTEE: Want to make a difference?  Want to rid the world of Cancer?  Everyone knows someone who has or had cancer.  Please contact Barbara Hemphill @ 619-993-9532 if you’re interested in joining the Leadership Team, joining an existing team or starting your own team.  Relay for Life will be held June 4th & 5th at the Town center Community Park East.

SHOW YOUR SULTAN PRIDE!  Design the new Santana High School PTSA Spirit T-Shirt.  Pick up the flyer in the attendance office with Mrs. Smith next week.  All entries must be in by Friday, April 1st.  The winner will be announced on Friday, April 8th.

COLOR GUARD COMPETITION: The Santana Color Guard will be traveling to Mission Hills High School tomorrow for their first competition of the season.  The team has been working very hard to get their show ready for competition.  They have moved up a division for this year.  We wish them well.  Go Sultan Guard!

GRAD NIGHT TICKETS: Attention Seniors – Grad Night tickets are selling fast.  Don’t miss out on this amazing senior night.  Permission slips are the attendance counter.  Money is due by April 17th.

CONGRATULATIONS to the mighty Purple Tennis Nation as they have rolled off 5 straight wins.  The latest big win came against league rival Grossmont last night when our men in purple played well when it mattered most.  Big props go to our captains, Dean Wedeking, Bryce Chung, Adam Schumann, and Zachary Taft, as they have led the charge on and off the court.  We also wish for a speedy return to the courts to senior captain, Blake Evans, who has been out.  Keep it up gentlemen!

CONGRATULATIONS to the following tracksters for earning medals at Saturday’s Mt. Carmel invite:  Vincent Velletta, John Lockmann, Kibrom Elias, John Bobof, Angel Amavisca, Jeremii Duran, Karen Cruz, Janice Deguerio and Adam Childress.  Congratulations to the Varsity girls for tying Helix in yesterday’s track meet.  The boys came the closest they’ve been to Helix this century.  The following were 1st place finishers:  Raquel Barriga, Janice Deguerio, Ashtyn Cooper, Veronica Hilke, Bri Kruis, Kimbrom Elias, Austin Ross, John Lockmann, Jake Kitten, John Bobof, and the 4x400 relay team – Karen Cruz, Janice Deguerio, Raquel Barriga and Destiny Rodvold.



ZOMBIE CLUB: If you want to survive the Zombie Apocalypse, come join the Zombie Club every Wednesday’s at lunch in Ms. Chandler’s room, S7.  New members are welcome.  We are all infected.

READING CLUB: Meets in the library every Friday at lunch.  If you enjoy a good read and sharing your love for literature, come join us.

KEY CLUB: Want to make quality friends and become more involved in school activities while earning your volunteer hours?  Thursday’s at lunch in Room 107.

A.C.E.: Santana’s Architecture, Construction, and Engineering after school program also known as ACE meets Wednesday’s in 802, right after school at 2:00.  Students who join ACE will have an opportunity to earn high dollar scholarships for participating.  To learn more, come to the meeting or see Mr. Kay for more information.

PEACE COUNCIL: Wednesday’s at lunch in room 105.  We focus on building a better Santana community, community service, and fun activities.  New members are welcome!

SCIENCE FICTION CLUB:  The Sci-Fi Club is open to all on Wednesday’s at lunch in room 207.  The Sci-Fi Club is a fun place to hang out and eat your lunch.  We will be discussing the new Star Wars Battle Front game.

ECOLOGY CLUB:  The Ecology Club meets Wednesdays at lunch in room S8.  Everyone is welcome and we are always looking for new ideas for helping the environment and new people to get involved.  Of course we also want to have fun so join us next week for one of infamous team games.  There will be prizes.

THE COLOR SPECTRUM CLUB is your Santana LGBT club and meets Thursdays at lunch in room 402.  We invite you to come and hang out, learn about LGBT issues, meet new friends, and help us plan some fun and exciting events.

CHRISTIAN CLUB: Every Thursday at lunch in room 704.

ART CLUB: Wednesdays at lunch in Room 703. No experience necessary and all are welcome.  The more the merrier!

ROBOTIC’S CLUB is meeting in room 307 on Wednesdays to get ready for the competition season! If you would like to be a part of the San Diego and Las Vegas regional competitions, come by and sign up! Build season starts in January and we will be practicing designs and fundraising in December.
