STUDENT BULLETIN:

DODGEBALL WINNERS: Thanks to all who came out to watch or participated in the Five D Dodgeball Tourney.  American Dream went undefeated taking first place and Globo Gym Purple Cobras moved their way up the ranks to take second.  The two teams are headed to the District Tournament at Granite Hills on Tuesday, May 31st.  All are welcome to come out and show support.  The cost is $5 and the doors open at 6:00.  Wear red, white and blue, or purple to show your support for our teams.  If you are a member of American Dream or Globo Gym, please stop by Mrs. Elliott’s art room today during break for a mandatory Dodgeball meeting.

PROM BIDS: Seniors – with Monday being a holiday, there are only three days left to buy your Prom Bids.  Thursday will be the last day to purchase prom tickets.  Tickets can be purchased at the finance office and remember – CASH only.

POWDER PUFF: Attention all Sultans!  The long anticipated Powder Puff game is coming up.  The seniors and juniors will square off next Wednesday at 5:00 pm in the Sultan Stadium.  The entrance fee is $2 with or without an ASB card.  Come out and support the junior class. 

LEIS: Seniors – If you want to look classy at graduation, order your Hawaiian flower leis now and they’re selling fast.  The cost is $20.  It’s quick and easy to order; all you have to do is drop 20 bucks off to Mrs. Bachmann in room 306.

STUDENT COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVES, our last meeting of the year will take place next Wednesday, June 1st, at the end of period 5.  We will be voting on next year’s Homecoming theme.  There will be an announcement to remind you.

PROM COURT: Congratulations to the following seniors who have selected for Prom Court:  Dean Wedeking, Cameron Mikhail, Brandon Mosburg, Kanoa Homer, Daniel Wilcox, Noemi Gonzalez, Whitney Jones-Downs, Kayla Swenddal, Samantha Smith and Brooke Shibley.

DISTRICT ART SHOW WINNERS: Congratulations to our winning Santana artists from last weekend’s District Art Show.  Shaun Holt and Megan St. John each won second place for their artworks and Katerina Sciarrino and Skylar Lockwood each won honorable mention for their artwork.  Wonderful job Sultans and please congratulate these accomplished artists when you see them.

RELAY FOR LIFE:  Join Santee’s fight against cancer.  Teams consist of 2-25 friends, family or co-workers.  There is no fee to participate.  Sign up at www.relayforlife.org/santeeca .

ECOLOGY CLUB: Not only has the Ecology Club done school clean-ups and recycling to help our campus, we also want to help make our school greener by planting more plants and flowers.  Come learn about this idea from our own librarian, Mrs. Teschler, next Wednesday at lunch.  We will be meeting in the library instead of normal classroom and we invite anyone to come join us to learn more and get involved.

SENIOR MUGS: Buy your custom senior mug for only $20.  It is a 25 oz. glass sport mug for the Class of 2016.  All senior names are listed on it and the Sultan logo is on the front.  It’s a one-of-a-king keepsake.  Pay at the finance office and then pick it up in room 801.  There is a limited quantity, so buy it now.

CLUBS AND OPRGANIZATIONS:

ZOMBIE CLUB: If you want to survive the Zombie Apocalypse, come join the Zombie Club every Wednesday’s at lunch in Ms. Chandler’s room, S7.  New members are welcome.  We are all infected.

READING CLUB: Meets in the library every Friday at lunch.  If you enjoy a good read and sharing your love for literature, come join us.

KEY CLUB: Want to make quality friends and become more involved in school activities while earning your volunteer hours?  Thursday’s at lunch in Room 107.

A.C.E.: Santana’s Architecture, Construction, and Engineering after school program also known as ACE meets Wednesday’s in 802, right after school at 2:00.  Students who join ACE will have an opportunity to earn high dollar scholarships for participating.  To learn more, come to the meeting or see Mr. Kay for more information.

PEACE COUNCIL: Wednesday’s at lunch in room 105.  We focus on building a better Santana community, community service, and fun activities.  New members are welcome!

SCIENCE FICTION CLUB:  The Sci-Fi Club is open to all on Wednesday’s at lunch in room 207.  The Sci-Fi Club is a fun place to hang out and eat your lunch.  We will be discussing the new Star Wars Battle Front game.

ECOLOGY CLUB:  The Ecology Club meets Wednesdays at lunch in room S8.  Everyone is welcome and we are always looking for new ideas for helping the environment and new people to get involved.  Of course we also want to have fun so join us next week for one of infamous team games.  There will be prizes.

THE COLOR SPECTRUM CLUB is your Santana LGBT club and meets Thursdays at lunch in room 402.  We invite you to come and hang out, learn about LGBT issues, meet new friends, and help us plan some fun and exciting events.

CHRISTIAN CLUB: Every Thursday at lunch in room 704.

ART CLUB: Wednesdays at lunch in Room 703. No experience necessary and all are welcome.  The more the merrier!

ROBOTIC’S CLUB is meeting in room 307 on Wednesdays to get ready for the competition season! If you would like to be a part of the San Diego and Las Vegas regional competitions, come by and sign up! Build season starts in January and we will be practicing designs and fundraising in December.
