Friday Announcements:

ACADEMIC LEAGUE: The Santana Varsity Academic League beat El Capitan this week 89 to 19 and the Santana JV team was also victorious with a 34 to 26 win over their opponents.  Standouts this week included Nathan Garrett, Zach Shoemaker, Kierstyn Connell, and Cole Hunter.  Way to go Sultans!

ATTENTION SENIORS who are applying to a California State University. It has been brought to our attention that there are two Santana High Schools listed in Santee on the CSU Mentor application. This is an error. You need to select the second Santana listed with the school code of 053342. We have contacted a CSU representative and will hopefully get this fixed but in the meantime if you search for Santana High School on the CSU Mentor application, please select the one with the code 053342.

GOOD LUCK: The Santana Band and Colorguard would like to wish the Sultan football team good luck tonight in their game against Coronado.

FIELD SHOW SPECTACULAR: Last night, the Santana Band participated in the annual Grossmont District Field Show spectacular. All of our District marching bands were there, and it was a pleasure to see all of the fine performances.

CELEBRATE YOUR FRIENDS! Ask that special someone out! Celebrate an anniversary or birthday!  Give a shout out to someone special!  For the cost of less than a Starbucks Grande you can create a unique message to show on the Library TV for a week doing any one of these! See Mrs. Teschler or Mrs. Winslow for details.

CONGRATULATIONS to the boys and girls cross country teams for winning the Grossmont League Championship. This is the boys’ first win in 8 years and the girls first win in 20 years. Great job and good luck in the CIF championship race tomorrow.
