STUDENT BULLETIN:

FOOD DRIVE: ASB is hosting its annual food drive the week before Thanksgiving break, during Multicultural Week, November 16-20.  The canned goods and non-perishable items will be donated locally to help out our community here in Santee.  It will also be a class competition and points will be added to your overall scores for the year.  There will be four boxes on campus, each with your class color.  Make sure you donate to the right box.

SENIOR TAKEOVER DAY: November 20th is Senior Takeover Day.  It is also a minimum day.  If you are a senior and there is a teacher or staff member you would like to take over for, then come to the mandatory informational meeting in the library at lunch next Monday, November 9th.  You will apply online and be given a signature sheet.  Make sure you check with the teacher or staff member for their permission and signature.  All signature pages are due next Friday, November 13th.

TEXTBOOK RETURN: Just a friendly reminder that the deadline for turning in all remaining textbooks from last year is fast approaching, and there are still about 120 Sultan Scholars who have textbooks on their account from the 2014-2015 school year.  These must be returned to the library by Friday, November 20.  After this date, a permanent fine per book will be added to student accounts, so please take of this ASAP.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Teschler or Mrs. Winslow in the library.

SPEECH CONTEST: The American Legion is hosting their annual Oratorical Speech contest.  It is open to 9-12th graders and awards can range from $50-$18,000.  Please sign up with Mrs. Spenny in the guidance office.  The deadline to sign up is November 20th.

MULTICULTURAL WEEK is coming and we are looking for assembly performers.  If you know how to do a cultural dance and would like to dance in the assembly on your own or in a group, please see Mrs. Spenny in the guidance office.  We are looking for dances from all different cultures.

NEW CLUB: There’s a new club on campus – the Creative Writing Club.  If you like to write fiction or poetry, this club provides the opportunity to share ideas, critique each other’s work, and get expert advice.  We will meet every Monday in room 108.  For our first meeting, there will be a special treat for everyone.

ATTENTION ALL SULTANS!  The Digital Fabrication Pathway is selling spirit tags.  Represent your class plus you can get your spirit tag customized.  You can purchase them Monday, November 9th at lunch in front of the library or finance office.  Come by your sultan Swat Spirit Tag.
