Friday Announcements:

HALLOWEEN COSTUME REMINDER: Clown costumes and clown masks will not be allowed at school on Halloween.

PEER MEDIATORS: Sultans, Mrs. Spenny is still in need of peer mediators.  You must be a junior or senior who is interested in helping students resolve conflict.  Mediation training is coming up quick, so see Mrs. Spenny for an application.

ESSAY CONTEST: Attention all students: The American Revolution Essay Contest is open to all grades and the award for the best essay is $250.  If you are interested in participating, see Mrs. Spenny in the guidance office.  Essays are due December 15th

HEY THERE SULTANS!  Don’t forget about our school newspaper online.  Go to  We publish every Friday night.  Keep up with your fellow peers and opinions on important topics, worldly news, and what is going on in the community around you.  Again, go to or see Mrs. Garrison or the Santana website for the link.

FROSH FOOTBALL: The freshman football team won tonight against El Cajon High School 34-8. Their record now is 7 wins, 1 loss!! They play their final game next week against Mount Miguel at Mount Miguel. It has been an amazing season for these boys and coaches :)

CROSS COUNTRY: Congratulations to the following cross country runners for earning medals at last Saturday’s Mt. Sac Invitational, the largest cross country meet in the world:

Joseph Rowe, Cameron Poche, Willy Gates, Devin Winslow, Cody Butrovich, Cole Evans, Cole Peterson, Gary Adamos, Jacob Garcia,

Merik Wilson, Jamie McDonald, Raquel Barriga, Carmen Gonzales, Janice Deguerio, Karen Cruz, Hannah Lockmann.

The sophomore boys were 2nd in their division and the varsity girls took 1st place in their division.  The whole team did an awesome job and Coach Bobof and Coach Knoll are so proud of you!

Clubs and Organizations:

PEACE COUNCIL: Want to make a difference here at Santana?  Come join Peace Council!  Meetings are Wednesdays at lunch in room 111.

THE DJ CLUB meets at lunch to mix and play music in Room S4 on Thursdays.

ROBOTIC'S TEAM meets in Ms. Stanley's room 307 Wednesdays at lunch.

ZOMBIE CLUB meets on Monday’s at lunch in Ms Chandler's room S7. New members welcome. Come with ideas on how to survive the Zombie Apocalypse. We are all infected.

ECOLOGY CLUB: Come to the Ecology Club in room S8 on Wednesday to learn what you can do to make a difference.
