Friday Announcements:

PSAT: The PSAT will be offered here at Santana, Saturday October 15th. It is FREE for all 11th graders, but you must sign up on the Santana website. 10th graders can sign up on a first come, first served basis at the finance office for $15. Click here for more information

GOT PLANS? Career/College fair is for 9th-12th grade students and their parents. This year Got Plans? is on a SATURDAY OCTOBER 8, from 10 am to 1 pm, at Cuyamaca College. This event is for ALL students. There will be informative break-out sessions and over 100 college recruiters as well as military and career representatives. See you there! GIRLS WATER POLO: Girls Water Polo will be meeting today, Friday 9/23, in Room 305 during lunch. New and returning players are invited to come by and find out about preseason practice status, team suit design, and team gear selection.

CSF: The CSF membership window is now open.  You may get an application from the library, or Mrs. Barelka in room 208. Deadline for return of application with transcript and $1 dues is due Friday, October 7th.  You are using last year's semester 2 grades for your application.

CONGRATS the to the Santana dance team for taking 2nd and 3rd place overall at the fierce nation dance competition on September 17th.  Our dance team also competed against the abby lee dance company at the same competition.  We met abby and her dancers and we also met Cathy from the candy apples dance company and her dancers.  Once they announce when the episode will air it will be put in the bulletin so if your a dance moms fan you can tune in!

THE PURPLE TENNIS NATION won it's 3rd straight league match last night with a strong 14-4 win at El Cap.  The team stays in striking distance of landing another league championship if they can beat Grossmont next week.  The Benjamin sisters and sophomore Allie Noon have led the charge in singles.  Our doubles play is led by Nicole Brundage/Maxine Kelley at #1, Sophia Martorana/Allison Velasquez at the #2 spot and Bree Cole/Hailey Duncan playing at the 3.  Meeting at lunch today for all.

ATTENTION ALL SENIORS – Homecoming applications are due Monday.  The signature page is due to the ASB room by lunch and the online form is posted on the ASB Twitter and Instagram.  All photos for candidates are going to be due Tuesday.  Please email them to  Seniors, if you’re not running for court but interested in participating in the assembly as an escort, please stop by the ASB room ASAP.

Clubs and Organizations:

PEACE COUNCIL: Want to make a difference here at Santana?  Come join Peace Council!  Meetings are Wednesdays at lunch in room 111.

THE DJ CLUB is starting up again and meets at lunch to mix and play music.  Come to room S4 on Thursdays.

ROBOTIC'S TEAM is meeting in Ms. Stanley's room 307 Wednesdays at lunch. We are preparing for our first competition and Battle at the Border at Francis Parker on October 15

ZOMBIE CLUB: Monday is the first meeting for Zombie Club. In Ms Chandler's room S7 at lunch. New members welcome. Come celebrate our first place win for best booth. Come with ideas on how to survive the Zombie Apocalypse. We are all infected.
