PARKING PERMIT: If you are driving to school, you must obtain a parking permit from Mrs. King in the Vice Principal’s Office.  If you received one last year and still have the sticker on your car, you must pick up a form and renew your permit. 

WORK PERMITS:  All Work Permits from last school year and over the summer expire on Monday, September 8. If you are still employed and you haven’t already completed a new work permit application, you must do so. Your work permit is no longer valid. Please come by and see Ms. Bingham for a new application and to ask questions. 

YEARBOOK SUMMER VACATION PHOTOS: Do you have photos of yourself on summer vacation?  We would like to reflect all types of summer vacations from those of you that stayed local to those of you that were lucky enough to travel.  Please submit your photos for possible use, directly to hjeshare.com and enter in school code Santana or visit the yearbook website.

YEARBOOKS: On sale now for the lowest prices of the year.  We sold out the last two years in a row, so reserve yours today.  Also, senior ads are available now.  Please see the yearbook website or finance office for more details.

CLEAN WATER CLUB meets on Fridays at lunch in room S8.  Our official kick-off for the new school year is next Friday the 12th.  If you like the ocean or ocean activities, want to help the environment, or interested in doing community service to help make people’s lives and health better, come check it out next week or talk to Mr. Henning for more information.

CONGRATULATIONS to the following cross country runners for winning medals at the Vaquero Stampede Invitational:  Jamie McDonald, Janice Deguerio, Zane Moore, Vincent Velletta, Austin Cooksey, Matt D’Angelo, John Lockman, Austin Ross, and Joseph Rowe.  Way to go cross country!  We need more girl runners.  If interested, please see Coach Bobof

PURPLE TENNIS NATION: The newest edition of the Purple Tennis Nation swept both of its matches this week.  Our Lady Sultans took down Mount Miguel 12-6 on Tuesday and followed it up the next day with an 11-7 win against Madison.  The team was led by the doubles tandem of Sarah Morgan and Nevada Hutt who were 5-0 on the week and have run their season record to 10-1.  Ashley Courtois also had a great week with 3 strong wins.  JV Nation is 3-0 on the year and playing well.  There are still openings for freshman and sophomore players.  Don’t forget about the lunch time meeting for our PTN ladies. 

DANCE TEAM: We need dancers!  If you want to be a part of the Dance Team, pick up an application from Mrs. Wilkerson-Spenny in the guidance office.  It’s free and fun!  Auditions will be here on September 16 and 18. 

MOMENTUM TUTORING, which provides homework assistance to students ages 6-18 is looking for juniors and seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.5 who are interested in being tutors for the 2014-2015 school year.  The starting pay is $9-$10 per hour.  Tutors are needed Monday through Friday between 2-6:00 pm.  If you are interested, please email Momentumtutoring@cox.net to schedule an interview.  Interviews will be held the week of September 8.

ZOMBIE CLUB: If you want to survive the zombie apocalypse, come to room S7 every Wednesday at lunch.  Don’t be left for dead!  WE’RE ALL INFECTED!
